End of Year Wrap-Up – 2024 Edition

As we walk into the final season of the 2024 year my heart is just so full. When the (now) Tennessee Homeschoolers group was started over 5 years ago, I never dreamed that we would be where we are today.

What started as a group of 50 homeschooling families, now has over 2,300! What started as a way to get us out of the house a few times a month, has become a lifeline for so many. This group, now a non-profit, has truly been a testament to what the Lord can do with one tiny, “yes.”

If you are looking for a community, for a way to get out of the house, or are just interested in learning more about the history around you – look no further. We’ve got you!

Here are a few of the amazing things we’ve done this year alone:

Surfed at Soundwaves

Slept at the Georgia Aquarium

Danced at Make it Glow – Semi-formal dance

Hosted two Kidpreneur Fairs

Rode the train at the TN Valley Railroad in Chattanooga

Ate apple slushies at Morning Glory Apple Orchard

Hosted two Tea Parties – with live music, photobooth and prizes!

Learned about our town in the City-Wide Scavenger Hunt

Dissected frogs at the Discovery Center

Enjoyed several plays at TPAC

Volunteered weekly at the Bible and Literary Foundation

Hosted an international Fair – “Around the World!”

Climbed waterfalls at Waterloo

Hosted a Denim and Lace – Western Dance!

Started almost 30 clubs and classes

Partnered with the Main Event for the first ever STEM CO-OP!

And truthfully, this isn’t even all of it!

We are grateful for the hundreds of families who attended field trips, clubs, classes and events with us in 2024, and we can’t wait to see what 2025 holds!
