Alissa Thompson – Cheer Director
When God calls you, HE EQUIPS YOU. He allows you to do big things, for HIS Namesake. What lay dormant for 23 years (until I began coaching cheerleading last year), was a passion & love for CHEERLEADING that was awakened after all these years. I became the Director of TN Eagles CHEERLEADING having absolutely NO idea what I was doing (I’d cheered 25 years ago at the National Level, but certainly NEVER started an athletic team from the ground up!!) I was both excited & terrified (mostly of failing or looking like an idiot) – I had no idea how things would go…BUT GOD. He’s in the business of doing pretty Big stuff through clueless but willing people – He loves that b/c then it truly IS His work! Since I laid down the fear of “failing or looking like an idiot,” it just organically played out. I am so excited for what the future brings for this program and the families involved!
