About us
We started with a field trip group and 50 people
Tennessee Homeschoolers grew out of a handful of families who wanted their kids to learn — and belong — together. Almost a decade later, we're thousands strong, still parent led, still a nonprofit.
Community, not competition.
Our goal is to bring community into homeschooling, so no family feels alone.
We operate at zero margin: our tutors are paid fairly, our directors aren't paid, and prices stay as low as we can make them so cost never keeps a family out.
Our story
How we grew
The 501(c)3, non-profit was started as a field trip group to serve local families.
Our first annual, "Make it Glow" dance and "Denim & Lace" Dance were thrown! This set the precedent for years of fun events.
We established our first in-person location for classes and clubs in Murfreesboro, TN.
Thousands of people, two in-person campuses, and an online learning platform.
What we believe
Our community values
We're a faith-rooted community that warmly welcomes families of every background. Our full Statement of Faith and Family Handbook are shared with every new member.
